In the spirit of giving, for the 2023 festive season, all staff had the opportunity to fill a shoebox to bring joy to the children of the Fikelela Aids Project Children’s Home in Khayelitsha, and the Masigcine Children’s Home in Mfuleni, Kuils River. The boxes were filled with practical necessities, as well as sweets, education supplies, a toy and a piece of clothing.
Staff enjoyed interacting with ten children and their minders from the Fikelela Home when they came over to Edge House to collect their boxes. The children were treated to a picnic on the grass with cupcakes and juice, and we played games. It was pure joy!
